I'M BACK!!!!

Wow! It's been a looong time! And how I have missed my all my blogging friends and all your fabulous reads!

First, I'd like to apologize for dropping off the face of the earth! My deepest apologies to all you lovely readers. So with that, I owe you all an explanation.

To make a long story short, when I got engaged, I was super excited and wanted to document every aspect of my engagement as possible. So I did, through blogging. With all this excitement, I also wanted to share it with my closest family and friends. So I did, and emailed them this link address.

However, I never thought they'd be as interested as they were and I never thought they'd tune in on every single post. It was GREAT but there was a downside to this. If they continued to follow by blogs then what would there be to excite them the day of? By the time my big day comes, they would've already known every single detail. That was not good!

So my Maid of Honor advised me to take a break, so I did. And with 9 months of pain and agony with sticking to my promise, I have decided enough time has past and now I'm back FULL THROTTLE!!!

I have so much to tell you guys! Sooo much! Many DIY projects, dress shopping, shoes, accessories, entertainment to share!

Stay tuned....

I promise I'll come back.... sooner than you think ;)

But I will leave you with a sneak peak of my next post! Let's just say the streets of SAN FRANCISCO were filled with Fabulous brides. Definitely, an event to remember!

xoxoxo,
Jaryce

AMAZING GUEST BOOKS!

I found this amazing guest book idea from a friend of mine off of Project wedding and I just had to share with my fellow blogger brides.

The details, workmanship and quality is OUTSTANDING. This will not just a guest book or just a name and address book, but it will be a gorgeous keepsake that will be passed down to future generations.

It'll be sure to have your guests at AW.

What I plan on doing is filling every other page with a pic from our engagement shoot and leaving the opposite side lined so guests can write more than just their names but hopefully a meaningful message, wishes, advice and words of wisdom.

Something like this...

CAKE - I think this is it!!

Monday, February 2, 2009

Okay ladies. This might be it. We might be at the end of the road with my cake dilemma.

If you have no idea about the ups and downs I've been through regarding my dream cake, view here. If not, I'll quickly sum it up. Wanted an elaborate DREAM cake but couldn't afford to give up my arm and leg ($15-1800). So I decided to venture out of day dreaming and live in the NOW!!

So here's what I came up with.....

CATERING TO THE TASTE BUDS:
  • 4 tier cake
  • sponge cake
  • fresh fruit filling
  • whipped cream frosting
CATERING TO THE EYE:

I'd love to do a complete mock up of this cake. The simplicity yet extra ordinary-ness of this sculpture appeals to me like no other. Classically done!

With these hanging crystals toppers.

Thanks to HMM (a fellow PW bride), I am hoping to mimic this table. Just a few changes to accommodate our colors. IE: A bed of white/ivory rose pedals and letters will be in gold.

and last but not least.... a DIY project in the makings!!... I decided to do something a little different than the famous "I DO" letters and now the "AMORE" Project Wedding icon letters. Here is what one of my bridesmaids, Amy suggested. I loved it and now running with it!!

All I have to do is spray paint the letters gold and IT'S A WRAP!! Phew, I thought I'd never get over this cake dilemma!

DETAILS! details! DETAILS!

Thanks to a fellow bride on Project Wedding for giving me this inspiration. HolyMolyMatrimony had purchased these through I DO ORIGINALS

We'll be purchasing this parasol for our Thank You cards.

For the Ceremony: I LOVE THIS SIGN!! haha. We are a goofy bunch and the church will get a huge kick out of this.

And the aisle runner....

FOR THE RING BEARER: And this ring!! I love the look. It's so fun and original. I got this same ring at Beverly's for $6.99.

Can't wait to work with you "I DO BLOG"!
